A leaderboard is a player competition for a defined period. The administrator chooses the scoring criterion, participants, and prizes. Open Marketing → Leaderboards to configure it.

Create a competition

  1. Select Create leaderboard, enter a name, and open the new draft.
  2. Add a player-facing description and scoring criterion. Select participating clubs and, optionally, user groups.
  3. Set the period, start date, and minimum score. A one-off season also needs an end date.
  4. Add prize ranges and rewards, then choose how rewards will be granted.
  5. Save with status Enabled. Check the competition in Leaderboard on the club's mobile website.

All participating clubs must belong to one Gizmo server. Multiple branches of that server can participate. An empty user-group selection includes all groups; the verified-player option adds another participation requirement. Subaccounts need the corresponding leaderboard permissions to edit settings.

Scoring criteria

Criterion Calculation
Play time Session time in the selected branches during the period, excluding pauses. The form's minimum is entered in minutes.
Club visits Days with sessions. Multiple logins on one day count as one visit.
Paid purchases Paid purchase amounts in the selected branches, adjusted for refunds. Adding money to a balance is not itself a purchase.
Selected product purchases Paid quantities of any selected products are added together. Select at least one product.
Completed tasks GGBook tasks completed in the selected branches during the period.

For example, with cola OR water selected, two colas and one water produce a score of 3 items. Players need a positive score at or above the minimum. Setting the minimum to 0 does not include players with zero scores.

Periods and dates

  • Weekly — the next period begins on Monday at 00:00.
  • Monthly — the next period begins on the first day of the next month at 00:00.
  • One season with specified dates — a competition between its configured start and end.

Dates use the club's time zone received from Gizmo. You do not select it manually in a leaderboard. The first period starts at your chosen date, so starting midweek produces a shorter first week.

The calendar is locked after the first season exists. Create a new leaderboard for a different schedule. Changes to criteria, participants, and rewards apply to subsequent seasons; a season that has already started keeps its rules.

Prize ranges and rewards

Ranges must not overlap. For example:

Places Example reward
1 A free package and a case key
2–3 300 points
4–10 A code from the selected pool

Rewards can be Gizmo points, a free product or package, temporary user-group membership, a case key, or a reward code. Choose products available in the participating branches and prepare enough codes. Multiple rewards in one range are all granted to each eligible player.

Equal scores share a place: 1, 1, 3. Both first-place players receive the first-place rewards, so allow for ties when preparing prizes. The number of displayed places limits the visible table, not the number of ranked participants.

Results and reward delivery

Open Results and history and select the current or a previous season. After a period ends, the server calculates final results. This requires a working Gizmo connection and GGBook data processing.

  • With automatic rewards enabled, the server processes prizes after finalization.
  • Otherwise, players use Claim rewards on the mobile website to receive available prizes.
  • Review required means the grant outcome needs checking. Inspect the history and actual credit before granting the reward manually again.

Archived stops new seasons. History and already assigned prizes remain available.

The player's view

The mobile website shows competitions for the player's club, their descriptions and criteria, periods, prize ranges, standings, and the player's own result. Completed seasons show final results and eligible prizes. Enable the leaderboard section in the website settings; the club also needs an active subscription and a working connection.

Without configured competitions, the website may show the standard play-time leaderboard. The current custom Gizmo skin displays that standard leaderboard; configurable competitions and their prizes are available on the mobile website.

If results fail to load, check the club connection and retry. A load failure does not mean that the player's score is zero.
